# CodeMeYo Feature Guide CodeMeYo is a desktop coding agent for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It can read a project, write code, run tests, use git, and connect extra tools. This guide matches the in-app Help, Guide tab. Search that tab for any term. Download installers from https://codemeyo.com/download/windows , /download/macos , or /download/linux . Public notes: https://codemeyo.com/changelog ## Quick start 1. Create a free account or sign in. 2. Open a project folder. 3. Turn on the models you want under Settings, Models. 4. Set Agent permission to Auto-All or Full Auto if you want the agent to write code. 5. Type a task in Chat and send. ## Sign in and accounts A signed-in CodeMeYo account unlocks in-app updates, JagAI credits, official Claude / Codex / Grok (with monthly support), remote pairing, and usage journey in admin. Without an account you can still use pasted API keys and local Ollama. You will not get in-app updates. When a new build is out, the app sends you to the website download page. ## Downloads and updates Installers and the updater live on this site, not GitHub Releases. - Signed in: the app checks about every 30 minutes and can install the update in place. - Not signed in: you see a notice and go to the public download page. Leave an email once so we can send product notes. We store that email and the public IP on the download list. Signed-in downloads skip the email form. Check for update is also on Settings, Help, Changelog. ## Monthly support vs one-time gifts Official Claude Code, Codex, and Grok (the apps you already pay those vendors for) need: - A signed-in CodeMeYo account - An open monthly support window of $3 to $9,999 - One-time gifts do not open that window JagAI credits and pasted API keys still work if you are signed out or not a monthly supporter. Pay from Settings, You, Billing. Monthly or one-time. Checkout uses Pay by Jag. Turning off usage sharing does not close a paid monthly window. ## JagAI credits JagAI is one credit balance that can route to Claude, GPT, Grok, Gemini, DeepSeek, and Mistral. No vendor API key. Buy credits from the account page. Credits are not the same as monthly support. ## Subscriptions vs API keys Settings, Models has two tabs: - Subscriptions: JagAI, Claude Code, Codex, Grok. Sign in with the official app. No vendor key on that card. - API keys: pasted console keys for Claude API, Grok API, OpenAI, Gemini, DeepSeek, Mistral, Groq, and local Ollama. Claude Code is the only Claude subscription card. Claude API is a different card. ## Models and providers Enable a provider in Settings, then pick it on the Chat bar. Colored chips are on. Dim chips turn that model on. Supported paths include JagAI, Claude, Claude Code, Grok, Codex, OpenAI, Gemini, DeepSeek, Mistral, Groq, and Ollama. ## Chat vs Code Chat is conversation. Code is the agent that can edit the project. The title bar shows version, build, active model, Chat or Code, and the strategy (Single, Round Robin, Deep Think, Consensus). ## Agent modes - Single: one model does the task. - Round Robin: enabled models take turns. - Deep Think: several models propose, critique, and synthesize. - Consensus: a change is stronger when more than one model agrees. ## Permissions - Ask every time: no tools run. - Auto-read, ask-write: reads are free, writes need you. - Auto-all, ask-destructive: writes are allowed, dangerous commands wait. - Full auto: the agent can read, write, run commands, and use git. For coding, use Auto-all or Full auto. Auto-read alone will block writes. ## Activity drawer When the agent works, the Activity rail on the right shows live tools and status. Collapse it. It opens again on the next run unless you keep it closed. ## Extra tools (MCP) Open Extra tools in the sidebar. Start only what you need. Search and filter On or Off. Human names and a short what-it-does line hide the command until you expand a card. The agent can only use tools that are On. Browse catalog to add a known server. Some need a token in Edit. ## Navigation The left rail groups Work, You, and Settings. Expand it for labels or collapse to icons. Hide the side panel. Account, Devices, and Operator desk sit under You. Changelog and Help sit under Settings. ## Remote PC Code Pair a phone to watch or control a desktop session. Open Devices or Settings, You, Billing area pairing. You must be signed in. ## Privacy and usage Default on: - Usage and button activity (screens, models, token counts, IP on signed-in requests) - Crash and error reports - Check for updates every 30 minutes We never send prompts, replies, or file contents. Usage helps us see what to keep. ## Usage screen Settings, App, Usage shows this session and all-time provider totals. When you are signed in and usage sharing is on, those totals go to your account journey in admin. ## Billing Settings, You, Billing shows monthly support on or off, last monthly amount, gifts so far, and Pay by Jag checkout. Apple builds also show App Store subscriptions. ## Changelog Public notes: https://codemeyo.com/changelog and https://codemeyo.com/changelog.md The in-app Changelog reads that file from this site. ## Git, files, and terminal Files opens the project tree. Git shows status and history. Terminal is yours. The agent has its own command tool when permission allows. ## Images Paste with Ctrl+V, attach a file, or capture a screenshot. Annotate if you want the model to look at a spot. ## Browser The Browser tab can drive a page for the agent when you need live web context. ## Contact Use https://codemeyo.com/contact . Do not put support questions in public reviews if you need a private reply.
